Privacy policy
This policy explains what KirayaX does with the information you give us when you join the pilot waitlist. It is deliberately short, because at this stage we collect very little.
Who we are
KirayaX (Pvt.) Ltd., a company incorporated in Pakistan, registered at [registered address], Lahore. You can reach us at hello@kirayax.com about anything in this policy.
What we collect
When you submit the waitlist form, we collect only what you type into it:
- Your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
- Your city
- Which side of the market you are on — landlord, tenant, or coworking operator
- A small number of details relevant to your role: property type and number of units let, your current rent, your tenancy situation, when your salary usually arrives, or your space's name and seat count
- Anything you choose to write in the free-text field
- The date and time you submitted, and the page you submitted from
If you use the KirayaX app
The app additionally lets you create an account and a profile. That adds your property address, the monthly rent and, optionally, a profile photo.
All of it — including the photo — is stored on your own device. There is no login server at this stage, so your account is not transmitted to us and is not verified; signing in simply unlocks the profile already saved on that phone. The only thing that reaches us is your waitlist registration, and only once you complete profile setup.
Deleting the app, or clearing its data in your browser or system settings, erases the account and photo from your device permanently. We cannot recover it, because we never had it.
We do not ask for and do not want your CNIC, bank details, card numbers, passwords, or copies of documents. Please do not send these to us. If you do, we will delete them.
Why we collect it
To evaluate and contact you about the KirayaX pilot, and to work out which cities to open in first. The salary-timing question exists because the instalment product is designed around the gap between when salaries arrive and when rent is due — it helps us judge whether the pilot will actually work for you.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing. The only exceptions are the service providers we use to store the waitlist and send email, who act on our instructions and cannot use your data for anything else, and any disclosure we are legally required to make.
Where it is stored
Waitlist registrations are held in a hosted database run for us by our infrastructure providers, who process it only on our instructions and cannot use it for anything of their own. Access is limited to people at KirayaX who need it.

How long we keep it
Until the pilot concludes and for up to 24 months after your submission, whichever is later, so we can contact you when we open in your city. After that we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Deleting your record
Email hello@kirayax.com from the address you signed up with, or tell us the address you used. We will delete your record and confirm in writing within seven days. You do not have to give a reason.
You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to being contacted. Withdrawing consent does not require deleting your record, though we are happy to do both.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Nothing on the page is loaded from an external service.
Security
Waitlist data is held in access-controlled systems and only reachable by people at KirayaX who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but the volume and sensitivity of what we hold at this stage is low by design — which is itself the point of collecting so little.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle waitlist data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your email address, we will tell you directly.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, write to hello@kirayax.com and we will respond. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority in Pakistan.
